Role Overview
Director – School of Management will lead NAMTECH’s Management School, which provides management education embedded within engineering, manufacturing, and technology-led programs.
The role focuses on building a practice-oriented and industry-aligned management ecosystem that supports NAMTECH’s technology schools by integrating management, leadership, analytics, and business decision-making capabilities into undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic & Institutional Leadership
- Provide academic leadership for management education across NAMTECH’s technology and manufacturing-focused programs.
- Shape the positioning of the School of Management as a technology-embedded, industry-facing management school.
- Align school priorities with the institutional roadmap and Director General’s academic vision.
- Support international collaborations and academic partnerships relevant to technology-driven management education.
- Program & Curriculum Excellence
- Oversee the design and delivery of management programs and modules across:
- Operations & Manufacturing Management
- Technology & Innovation Management
- Business Analytics & Data-driven Decision Making
- Finance, Marketing, HR, and Strategy (applied context)
- Ensure curriculum relevance aligned with industrial manufacturing, digital transformation, and technology-led enterprises.
- Promote experiential learning, case-based teaching, simulations, and industry-led instruction.
- Ensure academic quality, assessment rigor, and accreditation readiness.
- Industry and Applied Innovation
- Build strong partnerships with manufacturing firms, technology companies, consulting organizations, and industry bodies.
- Enable internships, live projects, industry immersions, and executive education programs.
- Drive applied research, consulting, and industry problem-solving aligned with NAMTECH’s focus sectors.
- Foster entrepreneurship, incubation, and innovation initiatives in collaboration with technology schools.
- Faculty and Operational Leadership
- Lead recruitment, mentoring, development, and performance management of management faculty.
- Build interdisciplinary faculty collaboration with engineering and technology schools.
- Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness of the School.
- Support student outcomes through strong academic advising, career pathways, and industry exposure.
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD in Management, Business Administration, Operations, Strategy, Analytics, Economics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 20 years of experience across academia and/or industry, with senior leadership exposure.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing-led organizations, technology businesses, and digital transformation.
- Proven experience in academic leadership, program building, institutional development, or executive education.
- Demonstrated ability to engage deeply with industry and applied learning environments.
