It was among the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) established as part of the Second Five-Year Plan (1956 – 1961).
Research Position: Project Assistant
Department: Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
Title of the project: Smart and Effective IoT and GNSS Technology based Tea farming and Tourism for Tea Community Development
Essential Qualification: M. Tech/ M.E/ M.S. from ECE or AEIE or CSE Dept. with minimum 60% marks (1st class) at both B.E./ B. Tech. and M.E./M. Tech. OR B. Tech./B.E. in ECE/ AEIE/ CSE with minimum 80% marks.
Desirable Qualification: Adequate knowledge in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), RTKLib software
Project Duration: The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Initial appointment will be for maximum 1 year which may be extended later or terminated earlier based on the performance.
Fellowship: Rs.25,000/- per month + HRA @ 18%
