Organization Profile: The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Govt. of India is working and aiming for the empowerment of persons with disabilities since its commencement. This ministry is serving the disabled through its seven delivery models. These are conducting awareness, sensitization, and HRD programs, undertaking research & development, providing assistive devices and livelihood for persons with disabilities (PwD) in the year 1980 which reinforces the idea of serving the disabled. The United Nations declared a decade for disabilities (1982-1992), which led to the advent of the most of the National Institutions. These Institutes started earlier, were working for the persons with Disabilities of different individual categories (single disabilities).

• Associate Professor

Employment Type: Direct Recruitment/ Deputation/ Promotion

Department: 

• Medical Science

Qualification: 

• MBBS with Doctor of Medicine (MD) in any discipline
• 3 years of experience
• Valid MCI Registration

Desirable Qualification:

• Ph.D
• Experience in guiding research scholars and experience in extension and outreach activities.
• Experience in working with Persons with Multiple Disabilities.
• Published work in the field in reputed journal/ Presentation of scientific papers at conferences at national & international levels

Deputation: Officers under Central/ State Government/ Universities / Recognised Research Institutes/ Public Sector undertakings/ Semi Government/ Autonomous/ Statutory Organizations.
1. Holding analogous teaching post on regular basis OR
2. Five Years regular service in the grade of Assistant Professor or equivalent in pay level-11 or equivalent grade OR
3. Ten years Services in the grade of Lecturer in Pay level 10 or equivalent grade.

Promotion: Promotion from immediate feeder grade with experience as per DoPT norms
OR
10 years of Regular service in Level 10 as NIEPMD(D) does not have the regular post in Level 11 i.e., Assistant Professor in Phase I created post.

Pay Salary:

• Pay Level -12 of the Pay Matrix of 7thCPC Rs.78,800/- to Rs.2,09,200/-
