The Centre aligns with national initiatives like Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat, and supports key Sustainable Development Goals. Consolidating PDEU’s Centres of Excellence, it provides industry-simulated infrastructure for experiential learning and global workforce readiness. The NSDC-PDEU Centre of Excellence invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor (On Term) at Pandit Deendayal Energy University. The role involves designing and delivering industry-aligned skill development programs. It suits individuals passionate about education, training, and enhancing youth employability.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Deliver innovative and engaging lectures, workshops, and hands-on skill development sessions (in Online/Hybrid modes), aligned with national priorities such as NEP 2020 and Skill India Mission.
2. Design, develop, and implement interdisciplinary academic programs and training modules focused on emerging technologies and sustainable development.
3. Engage actively in industry collaboration, applied research, and consultancy projects that contribute to national missions such as Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Viksit Bharat, and energy transition goals.
4. Foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development among students and trainees to meet the evolving demands of the global workforce.
5. Contribute to community outreach initiatives, skill-building programs, and capacity development aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. / Postdoctoral experience / relevant industry expertise in the respective specialization area.
2. Demonstrated excellence in research, innovation, or professional practice in the chosen field, preferably aligned with NEP 2020 objectives and national missions.
3. Prior experience in teaching, training, curriculum development or skill development programs.
4. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities to work across interdisciplinary teams and initiatives.
5. A commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth through education and research.

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience in executing industry-academia collaborative projects, funded research programs, or national-level missions.
2. Ability to integrate emerging technologies into teaching, research, and skill development frameworks.
3. Multilingual proficiency (particularly desirable for language faculty positions).
4. Deep understanding of key policy frameworks such as NEP 2020, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Skill India Mission, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Viksit Bharat and national energy transition initiatives.
5. Demonstrated passion for promoting innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and holistic education.
