Job Title: Research Associate
Employment Type: Temporary
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Climate Science, Environmental Science, Meteorology, or a related field.
- Strong background in climate modelling and proficiency in using climate datasets such as CMIP6.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R for data analysis, and visualization.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and tools for climate data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in writing scientific publications and grant proposals is an advantage.
Duration: The duration of the project is for one year..
As a researcher you will be responsible for,
- Conduct and support research on climate change, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Utilize climate models, particularly the CMIP6 dataset, to generate climate projections and conduct scenario analysis.
- Develop and maintain databases of climate-related data.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate climate science into broader research initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports, research papers, and policy briefs for a variety of audiences, including policymakers, scientists, and the general public.
- Present research findings at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Stay updated with the latest scientific literature and advancements in climate science.
