Organization Profile: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has an extensive campus being set up at Kochi that comprises of a pre-eminent medical institute, the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) along with the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy & School of Allied Health Sciences and Center for NanoSciences. The campus though dominated by the health science schools is not entirely restricted to medical sciences and has a School of Arts and Sciences and School of Business as well.

Essential Qualifications and Experience: M.Des or higher
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Design (M.Des) or Ph.D. in a related field.
- Strong understanding of design principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in multimedia tools used in design (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc.).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in communication design preferred (e.g., graphic design, web design, multimedia design, UI/UX design).
- Prior teaching experience, especially at the undergraduate level, is desirable.
- Creative mindset with a passion for design education.
- Ability to mentor and inspire students in their design journey.
Responsibilities:
- Teach design courses offered by the Department of Visual Media and Communication.
- Utilize expertise in design principles and techniques to deliver effective instruction.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various multimedia tools relevant to design education.
- Communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
- Foster an engaging learning environment conducive to creative exploration.
- Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with academic standards.
- Mentor and guide students in design projects and assignments.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into teaching practices.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum development and assessment.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their design skills.
