The residential life of the Student at Joy University plays a very critical role of creating a safe and comfortable living on campus, “a home away from home” experience for the resident students. It works towards the overall (social, emotional and cultural) well-being of students, ensuring their civil and congenial participation in campus residence life.

• Be Responsible for allotment of rooms to the students.
• To ensure housekeeping and cleaning of the hostel.
• TO ENSURE THAT NO RAGGING TAKES PLACE IN THE HOSTEL.
• To always ensure safety and security at all times and to maintain strict discipline, among the students in and around the Hostel.
• Be Responsible for hostel maintenance, no damage to the hostel furniture and fittings and timely repair.
• Looks after the quality of food served in the hostels.
• Reports to the Registrar(i/c) in case of any indiscipline or misbehavior by the students.
• Looks into the grievances/complaints of the students if found genuine.
• Arranges for first-aid in case of any emergency and arrange for hospitalization of student/ staff, if required.
• To issue Gate Pass to students only in genuine cases/who are going home etc. Collect the filled up form and maintain a record of the absence of the students from the campus.

• Good administrative & student dealing skills.
• Experience in handling emotional, psychological issues and discipline among students.
• Ability to operate a computer and working knowledge of MS Office.
• Good communication skills in English.
