Organization Profile: Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT), an institute founded and promoted by Jahangirabad Education Trust approved by All India Council of Technical Education New Delhi (AICTE) as an integrated campus accordingly it is named as Jahangirabad Educational Trust Group of Institutions (JETGI) & commenced in the Engineering & Technology disciplines.
The Trust has also offered highly successful post graduate courses in Electronic Media, and Mass Communication & Journalism in the past.
The institute is promoted by a large number of professionally successful Indians who are settled abroad have come together to promote higher technical education amongst Indians. The college is located in the historic fort of Jahangirabad, in Barabanki District, about 40 km from Lucknow city. Barabanki of eastern UP has been out of the technology race and remains industrially backward. But now the fort has developed itself into an important center for contact between JET and the community and has been exclusively restored for the educational and research activities.
