College Profile: The University of Kalyani was established in 1960 with a campus area of over 378 acres in Kalyani town. It is well connected by road and railway, with a railway station very close to the University. Essential Qualification:

Professor
1. Minimum Eligibility Criteria

a. A Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the concerned/ allied/relevant branch of Engineering and Technology.
b. A minimum of 10 (ten) years of experience of teaching or research of which at least 5 (five) years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (in the revised pay band of Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with Academic Grade pay of Rs. 8000 or higher) or Reader or equivalent grade excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree.
c. Consolidated API score of 400 points from categories Il & Ill of APIs (cumulative) as per UGC regulation No. F.1-2/2016(PS/Amendment) dated the 11th July, 2016 (See the API computation formats given in Appendix I of the advertisement).

For the Candidates from Industry and Profession

Qualification as above with industrial/ professional experience of 10 (ten) years at managerial level equivalent to Assistant Professor (in the revised pay band of Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with Academic Grade pay of Rs. 8000 or higher) or Reader or equivalent grade with active participation record in designing, planning, executing, analysing, quality control, innovating, training, writing technical books, research paper, publications/ patents, etc., along with the minimum API requirement as stated above.

2. Desirable Qualification
a. Post Ph.D. published work such as research papers, patents filed/obtained, books and/or technical reports.
b. Experience of guiding Post Graduate/ Research students or supervising R & D projects in industry.

Associate Professor

1. Minimum Eligibility Criteria
a. A Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant branch of Engineering and Technology.
b. A minimum of 8 (eight) years of experience of teaching or research at the level of Assistant Professor (in the revised pay band of Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with Academic Grade pay of Rs. 6000 or higher) or lecturer or equivalent grade excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree.
c. Consolidated API score of 300 points from categories Il & Ill of APIs (cumulative) as per UGC regulation No. F.1-2/2016(PS/Amendment) dated the 11th July, 2016 (See the API computation formats given in Appendix I of the advertisement).

For the Candidates from Industry and Profession

Qualification as above with industrial/ professional experience of 8 (eight) years in a position equivalent to the level of Assistant Professor (in the revised pay band of Rs. 15,600 – 39,100 with Academic Grade pay of Rs. 6000 or higher) or lecturer along with the minimum API requirement as stated above.

2. Desirable Qualification
a. Published work such as research papers, patents filed/obtained, books and/or technical reports.
b. Experience of guiding Post Graduate/ Research students or supervising R & D projects in industry.

Assistant Professor

Eligibility

1. Minimum Eligibility Criteria
a. Master’s degree with first class or equivalent at B.E or M.E. in relevant branch of Engineering (Engg.) and Technology (Tech.).

2. Desirable Qualification
a. Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization.
b. Papers published in refereed journals and/or presented at conference.

• Have a good Publication record

• Professor: BP Rs. 1,44,200/- – Rs. 2,18,200/- in Academic level 14 and other admissible allowances
  are as per State Government Orders.
• Associate Professor: BP Rs. 1,31,400/- -Rs. 2,17,100/- in Academic level 13A and other admissible
  allowances are as per State Government Orders.
• Assistant Professor: BP Rs. 57,700/- -Rs. 1,82,400/- in Academic level 10 and other
  admissible allowances are as per State Government Orders.
