Essential Qualifications: For the Centre for Undergraduate Studies post, candidates need a Master’s degree with 55% marks in Psychology from a recognised Indian University or an equivalent foreign degree, along with a cleared NET/SLET/SET or a PhD as per UGC regulations. For the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies post, candidates need a Master’s degree with 55% marks in Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History or a related subject, along with a cleared NET/SLET/SET or a PhD as per UGC norms. Alternatively, candidates with a PhD from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in QS, THE, or ARWU rankings are also eligible for both posts.
Desirable: Candidates with a PhD in the relevant field, two or more years of teaching experience, research on Northeast India and its transnational neighbourhood, ability to teach inter-disciplinary courses, a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, and the ability to supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s students will be preferred. For the Undergraduate Studies post, ability to teach Social Psychology, Cyber Psychology, Biological Psychology, Environmental Psychology and Quantitative Research Methods is desirable. For the Peace and Conflict Studies post, ability to teach papers on violence, memory, territoriality, nation-state and border conflicts is desirable.
Salary Details: Selected candidates will get an entry pay of Rs. 57,700/- in Academic Pay Level 10 as per the 7th CPC.
