Initially the college was started in the premises of Regional Agricultural Research Station, (Cotton Research Laboratory) in 1991 to meet the ever growing challenges in agricultural education and training particularly in Kurnool and Anantapur districts of Rayalaseema. The government of Andhra Pradesh transferred 153.5 ha of Cattle Farm of the Department of Animal Husbandry to Acharya N.G Ranga Agricultural University along with the infrastructural facilities viz., land, buildings, cattle sheds etc.

- Experience of at least 3 years of respective teaching/research experience, as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements
- One published research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated ≥4.0 journal
- Candidates having a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and 2-year Master’s degree should additionally have the NET qualification
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 40 years for Men and 45 years for Women.
Required Experience: A minimum of 3 years of respective teaching/research experience, as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training, or other similar engagements.
