Job Title: Librarian

Key Responsibilities

1. Library Management:
   • Oversee daily operations of the library, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of resources (books, journals, e-resources, etc.)
   • Develop and update library inventory, including cataloging, classification, and digital archiving
2. User Support:
   • Assist students, faculty, and staff in locating and accessing resources (physical/digital).
   • Provide guidance on research methodologies and reference management tools.
3. Digital Initiatives:
   • Manage library software (e.g., KOHA, LIBSYS) and maintain the institution’s digital repository
   • Update the college website with library-related content (e.g., new arrivals, book reviews)
4. Acquisition & Procurement:
   • Select and procure books, journals, and e-resources aligned with the curriculum (Diploma programs in Engineering/Technology).
5. Administrative Duties:
   • Conduct periodic audits and generate usage reports.
   • Supervise library staff and student assistants

Qualifications & Experience

• Essential:
  • Master’s degree in Library Science (MLIS)with First Class from a recognized university.
  • Proficiency in library automation software (AutoLib Software Systems) and computer application
  • Experience of Conducting NDLI (National Digital Library of India) Programme.
• Preferred:
  • 1–5 years of experience in academic libraries.

  • Librarian: ₹30,000–₹35,000/month
