Position: Lecturer – Values Education & Student Counselling

Job Summary
Lecturer – Values Education & Student Counselling The role involves teaching courses on ethics, life skills, and moral values, along with offering guidance to help students navigate academic, personal, and social challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching
- Teach courses on values education, ethics, soft skills, and personal development as per our Curriculam
- Execute lesson plans using teaching materials, and assessments as per our SOP aligned with institutional
- Foster critical thinking, empathy, and ethical decision-making among
- Student Counselling & Mentorship
- Provide individual and group counselling for academic, emotional, and behavioural
- Offer crisis intervention and referrals to external professionals when
- Conduct orientation programs for new students to ease their transition into college
- Maintain confidential records of counselling
- Institutional Support
- Collaborate with faculty to identify and support at-risk
- Assist in anti-ragging initiatives, disciplinary committees, and grievance
- Promote inclusivity, mental health awareness, and positive student well-being.
- Research & Professional Development
- Stay updated on counselling techniques, educational psychology, and pedagogic Concepts & Practices .
- Participate in faculty development programs and educational
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- Master’s degree in Psychology/Counselling/Education (with specialization in values or ethics).
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience (preferably in higher education).
- Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal
Preferred:
- Certification in Counselling/Psychology (e.g., REBT, CBT, NLP) is a
- Experience in career counselling, conflict resolution, or youth mentorship.
- Knowledge of Indian value systems, NEP 2020, and outcome-based education.
- Proficiency in regional languages as applicable).
