Job Title/Designation:  Lab attendant – Training Restaurant

Job Summary:

The Lab Attendant will support the efficient and smooth functioning of the training restaurant at a hotel management college. This includes maintaining cleanliness, organizing equipment, assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, and ensuring all supplies and tools are available and in working condition.

Job Profile

  • Prepare and set up the training restaurant for practical sessions as per faculty instructions.
  • Clean and sanitize the restaurant area, service counters, furniture, and equipment before and after classes.
  • Assist in the mise-en-place (preparation) of training materials such as cutlery, crockery, glassware, linens, and table setups.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and report shortages to the concerned instructor.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of equipment and materials.
  • Support students and faculty during service training sessions by providing logistical assistance.
  • Assist in organizing special events, theme lunches/dinners, or internal college functions.
  • Adhere to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by faculty or training managers.

Qualification mandate required as per the following

  • Minimum High School (10+2) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality training setup or restaurant environment preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Practical kitchen/restaurant lab environment within a hospitality education institution.
  • May involve standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and working flexible hours during special events.

Skills Required: Physically fit and able to handle equipment and supplies. Punctual, disciplined, and willing to take initiative. Basic knowledge of food service equipment and hygiene practices. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions carefully.

Experience: 3- 10 years
