Job Description for Student counsellor– Psychologists / Psychiatrists

Preambles:

Students seek for counselling services for a variety of reasons. Counsellors work with students to help them reach their full potential, enhance their mental wellness, set academic and personal goals, and successfully accomplish those goals. Requirements:

• Ability to support mentor-mentee system
• Interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills
• Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
• Ability to observe, assesses, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Ability to evaluate the progress of therapeutic programs and to make individual students modifications
• Ability to assess mental status in students and to develop individual attention/counselling goals and plans
• Knowledge of psychological test administration, scoring, and interpretation
• Skill in preparing and maintaining students’ counselling records and filing

Job Profile: Student Counsellor- Psychologists / Psychiatrists.

Qualification: Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in psychology

Experience: 1-5 years
