Organization Profile: In 1951, on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee, the Commercial College decided to specialize in the field of commerce and economics and hence rechristened itself as Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in recognition of the contribution made by its founder Sir Shri Ram. Three years later, in 1954, the College shifted completely to its present-day campus in the North Campus, University of Delhi. One of the major changes took place in 1957 when the College converted to a coeducational institution. This transition opened the doors for commerce and economics education for female students in the College and has led to a greater egalitarian representation of gender in the student community over the years.

Qualifications and Experience required: As per University of Delhi and UGC norms
The qualifications for appointment of Guest Faculty shall be the same as those prescribed for regular appointment of Assistant Professor in the UGC Regulations. As per revised guidelines for the appointment of Guest Faculty, the Faculty to be appointed should not have a teaching assignments in any other institution. The candidate should be registered in the Ad-hoc panel of the respective Department of the University. Superannuated teachers will be considered for engagement as Guest Faculty subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
Honorarium: The Honorarium of Guest Faculty shall be Rs. 1,500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month. The Guest Faculty will not be given the benefits of
allowances, pension, gratuity, leave, etc. as admissible to regular teachers.
