The idea of the establishment of a University for the development of various sectors of agriculture was under persuasion by the government of Jammu and Kashmir right from the early 1970s. But its dream came true with its establishment in the year 1982 and was named after the great legendary leader, the Sher-e-Kashmir, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah as Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology with its main campus at Shalimar, Srinagar with a vision to pursue teaching and conduct research and extension services in agriculture and allied sciences directed to food, nutritional and livelihood security.

- Project Technical Support-I
- 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT or equivalent) + two Years of experience in relevant subject/field.
Or
Three years Graduate degree in relevant subject /field + one year experience in relevant subject
- 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT or equivalent) + two Years of experience in relevant subject/field.
- Project Nurse-I
- Two years Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (ANM) course.
Job Location: Jammu and Kashmir
Salary:
- Project Technical Support – III- Rs. 28,000/ (Consolidated) as per ICMR norms plus HRA as admissible
- Project Technical Support-I- Rs. 28,000/ (Consolidated) as per ICMR norms plus HRA as admissible
- Project Nurse-I – Rs. 18,000/ (Consolidated) as per ICMR norms plus HRA as admissible
