About Organization : Sainik School Korukonda is one amongst the 33 Sainik Schools which prepares boys and girls academically, physically and mentally to join National Defence Academy / Indian Naval Academy. The Alak Appala Kondayamba Vijayaram Palace at Korukonda where the journey of this premier educational institute commenced is a solid tribute to the great service to the cause of education and philanthropic glory of the Royal Family of Vizianagaram. The Korukonda Palace was built in 1911 by Maharaja Vijayaram Gajapathi Raju as his country residency. The Korukonda Palace was gifted for the purpose of running a Sainik School by Smt. Bhagirathi Devi garu with the consent of her husband ―Sir Vizzy‖ in Sep 1961. The prime mover of the gift was the great philanthropist and educationist Dr. PVG Raju, Raja Saheb of Vizianagaram and the nephew of Sir Vizzy. As a rich tribute to the philanthropic gesture of the Royal Family,the original crest and motto of the Gajapathis was adopted by the school right from its inception and the Central Hall of the Royal Korukonda Palace, too, has been named after Maharani Lalita Kumari Devi, the mother of Sir Vizzy.

Qualification:
1.1 Four years integrated degree course from NCTE recognised institution / University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate including B Ed component.
OR
1.2 Bachelor / Honours Degree from recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks in concerned subject / combination of subjects as well as in the aggregate AND B Ed Degree from NCTE recognized institution/University with at least 50% marks
OR
1.3 Three year integrated B Ed – M Ed from NCTE recognized institution / University with at least 50% marks
OR
1.4 01 year B Ed (Special Education) from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with at least 50% marks. “Training to be undergone: A person with B Ed (Special Education) qualification shall undergo, after appointment an NCTE recognised 06 months Special Programme in Elementary Education.”
OR
1.5 Post Graduation in concerned subject/ any specialization in concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade provided that the candidate has studied the subject(s) mentioned in the note below at the graduation level and three year integrated B Ed – M Ed from NCTE recognized institution/University with at least 50% marks.
Note: The candidate should have studied:-
1.6 Mathematics as Elective / Main Subject in at least 03 years / 06 semesters in graduation / four years integrated degree course.
1.7 Physics at least 01 year / any 02 semesters of the course.
1.8 One out of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics at least 01 year / any 02 semesters of the course. The candidates who studied under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with the above subject are also eligible to apply. Candidates with B Sc (Hons) in Physics or Chemistry are not eligible for the post of TGT (Maths)
1.9 Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-2 conducted by CBSE / Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Secondary School conducted by appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

Pay Scale:
- Entry Pay: Rs 44,900/- + DA + Medical Allowances + Transport Allowance etc., in the Level 7 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC recommendations.
