Organization Profile: The Indian School of Mines was formally opened on 9th December 1926, by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India to address the need for trained manpower related to mining activities in the country with disciplines of Mining and Applied Geology. In 1967 it was granted the status of a deemed to be university under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. Since its establishment, IIT(ISM) has undergone considerable expansion of its activities, and presently it can be considered as a total technology education institute.
Job Title: Research Assistant (RA)
Title of the project : Design and development of advanced anti-collision system for heavy vehicles in Mining sectors
Tenure of Project: 24 Months effective from 24th February, 2026
Job Description (in maximum of 100 words): Design and development of advanced anti-collision system for heavy vehicles in Mining sectors, mines visits, testing, data collection and analysis, report preparation, etc.
Essential Qualification:
- B.Tech/BE in Mechanical/Automobile/Industrial & Production/Manufacturing
- M.Tech /Two years of experience in the Design/Manufacturing industry. Knowledge of ANSYS/LS-Dyna software etc.
Desirable Qualification : Working knowledge in FRP industries will be an added advantage for this position
Fellowship:
- Rs. 30,000/- pm for 1st Year and Rupees 35000/- pm for 2nd Year (Consolidated), No HRA
