National Institute of Technology Goa is an Institute of National Importance under the aegis of the Ministry of Education- Government of India. Essential Qualification: Ph.D

Essential Requirements:

  • Professor
    • 10 years after Ph.D. or 13 years total working experience, out of which 07 years should be after Ph.D. At least 03 years at the level of Associate professor with AGP of Rs.9500/- or 04 years at the level of Associate Professor with AGP of Rs.9000/- or combination of Rs.9000/- and Rs.9500/-, or equivalent in an Institution of repute or Research & Development lab or relevant industry
  • Associate Professor
    • Six years after Ph.D. of which at least 03 years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP rS.8000/- Or
    • Nine years total working experience, of which 03 years should be after Ph.d, with at  Aeast 03 years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP Rs.8000/-.
  • Assistant Professor Grade-I
    • Three years after Ph.D. or Six years total teaching and research experience in reputed academic institutes or Research and Development Labs or relevant industry.
  • Assistant Professor Grade-II
    • One year post-Ph.D. experience of Teaching and Research in Institutions of  Repute/Industry

How to apply: 

  • Applicants are required to apply only through the online recruitment portal of the institute’s website: http://www.nitgoa.ac.in. Applicants may click on the online application link, read the instructions carefully, and fill up the online application form. The online application link will be closed at 5:00pm on 26th January 2024.
  • Before filling the Application Form, the candidate must ensure her/his eligibility for the post in respect of qualification and other requisite criteria.
  • Candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government/PSUs/Universities/Educational Institutions should send their applications through Proper Channel. They may send an advance copy of the application form and relevant enclosures. However, they should furnish NOC and vigilance clearance from their employer/competent authority at the time of interview.
  • Forwarding of Application or submission of NOC is not required for serving regular faculty members of NIT Goa.
  • Candidates should apply sufficiently in time without waiting for last date, no request for any extension of last date will be considered on any ground whatsoever.
  • Candidate should pay a non-refundable Application fee per Department per post applied through online payment as below:
    • Rs.1500 (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only) for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500 for women candidates.
    • SC/ST/PwD/EWS candidates exempted from application fees
    • USD $ 50 for Indian National applying from abroad for all categories
  • Application processing fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. The application fee is exempted for serving regular faculty members of NIT Goa
  • Application fees have to be paid through the link provided in the online recruitment portal only.
  • Self-attested relevant documents shall be attached with the application

After submission of the online application form, the candidates must print a copy of the same, fill the relevant annexures/enclosures and attach all the supporting documents. The hard-copy of the application form along with self-attested enclosures, credit point sheets, supporting and relevant documents should be sent by speed/registered post to

Instruction for Filling of Online Application Form

  • Candidates are advised to read the Advertisement in detail, go through the vacancies earmarked in the advertisement and make sure the required eligibility for the post to be applied as per the advertisement before filling online application form.
  • Pay the application fees as applicable by clicking on Online Payment Link.
  • After paying the application fees successfully, the candidate will receive an auto generated email regarding transaction details in the given email-id.
  • Click on the link for filling Online Application Form.
  • It is advised to fill all the sections in the given order and do not skip any section in between.
  • Your photograph should be a clear JPEG image.
  • Before you submit your application, please ensure that all the required information is filled accurately. You will not be able to edit your information after submission.
  • Once you have submitted your application form online, an auto generated email will be sent to the given email-id from recruitment cell, in which you can view the information submitted.
  • Last date for Submission of Online application form: 26th January, 2024.

Instruction for Submission of Hard-Copy of Application Form

  • Candidates are advised to kindly note down the Application number and take a printout of their final submitted online application form which has been received (auto-generated) in the given email.
  • Kindly paste the passport size photograph on the top right-side of the printed application form. The candidate need to sign on each page of the application form.
  • Candidates are requested to download the following Annexures from A to J (whichever is applicable)
  • Arrange the self-attested hard-copies of relevant certificates/documents and do numbering as per the note given in each Annexure.
  • Fill the applicable Annexures from A to J and take the print of the same.
  • Attach all the relevant self-attested documents after each applicable Annexure. First page of every annexure must be in the provided format and immediately followed by supporting documents.
  • All Annexures (in A4 size) followed by supporting documents should be attached in Spiral Bound including the application form.
  • Last date of receiving hardcopy of application form along with supporting documents: 5th February, 2024.
  • The hard-copy of the application along with supporting document should be sent to the below mentioned address on or before last date mentioned in the advertisement.
