Applications are invited from qualified and research–driven candidates for Faculty Positions in the Department of Mathematics/ Computational Stream/ (Interdisciplinary stream) at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (Autonomous), Coimbatore – a reputed institution dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and women empowerment through science and technology education.
Discipline: B.Sc. Computational Mathematics with Machine Learning
Positions Available: Assistant Professor
Educational Qualification (As per UGC / Bharathiar University Norms):
Ph.D. in Mathematics / Computer Science / Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence or related area is mandatory for Assistant Professor. Master’s Degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics / Data Science / Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence / Computational Sciences or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
Candidates who have cleared NET/SLET/SET or possess a Ph.D. (as per UGC Regulations 2018) are eligible to apply.
Experience Required:
Assistant Professor: Fresh or experienced candidates with sound knowledge in Mathematics, Programming, and Machine Learning.
Candidates with Interdisciplinary exposure combining mathematics and computing/ Machine learning will be given preferences.
Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/ industry experience with publications in reputed journals experience with leadership in research, curriculum development, and funded projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Teach and mentor students in Mathematics, Computational Modelling, and Machine Learning.
- Develop curriculum integrating mathematical theory, data–driven computation, and Al applications.
- Guide students in projects, research, and interdisciplinary learning aligned with NEP 2020.
- Conduct research, publish in reputed journals, and pursue funded projects.
- Organize workshops, hackathons, and technical seminars in emerging computational areas.
- Collaborate with industries and research centers for internships, projects, and knowledge exchange.
- Contribute to institutional initiatives such as Innovation & Incubation Centre, Data Science Labs, and Al–driven research programs.
Desirable Attributes:
- Strong conceptual foundation in Mathematics integrated with computational problem- solving.
- Hands–on experience in Python, R, TensorFlow, Scikit–learn, or MATLAB.
- Commitment to experiential learning and interdisciplinary pedagogy.
- Ability to mentor students for research, innovation challenges, and higher studies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and team collaboration skills.
