Organization Profile: IIT DHARWAD is an autonomous premier Science and Technology Institute established by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India in 2016 under the mentorship of IIT Bombay. IIT DHARWAD is presently situated in Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) Campus [135 acres in area] located on the National Highway (NH-4) connecting Pune and Bengaluru. All the major facilities in Dharwad are within 10 km radius from the campus. WALMI has generously provided several buildings for the student hostels, class rooms, laboratories, etc. for IIT DHARWAD.

Department : Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering
Essential Qualification: Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences Or Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences /BVSc/B.Pharm or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or from a recognized University or equivalent
Desirable Qualification: Computer vision, Programming Skills, Mechanical Engineering, Inclination for hands-on mechanical assembly, CAD, Mechatronics
GATE qualification will be preferable
Consolidated Emoluments:
- Rs.37,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through a process as mentioned below:
a) National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE
OR
b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions. - Rs.30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under 1 above
Note : If requested, on campus accommodation can be facilitated based on the availability in the hostel.
Tenure of appointment: 1 Year(subject to continued satisfactory job performance)
