Job Description:
NAMTECH is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and accomplished academic/industry leader to serve as the Program Director for its newly established School of Robotics.
The ideal candidate will possess a PhD from a reputed institution in India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the academic and administrative development of the School of Robotics.
- Collaborate with the Director in designing and launching cutting-edge curriculum and research programs.
- Forge strong industry-academia linkages to ensure talent readiness and industry-aligned learning outcomes.
- Mentor faculty members and supervise doctoral candidates.
- Promote research excellence and contribute to high-impact publications, patents, and projects.
- Build partnerships with global academic and industrial institutions.
- Represent the School in national and international forums.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Requirements:
- UG degree with a minimum of 75% or a Master’s degree from a reputed university with at least 55% marks.
- Ph.D. in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Mechatronics, or a related technology field from a reputed institution.
- Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of teaching/research experience at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor or Professor at a reputed university or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven record of academic or industry leadership in robotics or a closely allied field.
- Research Contributions:
- Minimum of 12–15 publications in peer-reviewed journals, books, or patents.
- Supervision of doctoral research:
- As sole supervisor: At least 1 Ph.D. awarded
- As co-supervisor: At least 2 Ph.D.s awarded
