Title of the Project: Lunar surface mineralogical analysis using
Imaging Infra-red Spectrometer (IIRS) data
Funded by: ISRO (DOS)
Department: Geology
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Geo-informatics OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following :
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and
GATE.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Hyperspectral remote
sensing/ python/ IDL/ Matlab etc.
Candidate Profile:
- The candidate should be completed a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with good academic records.
- The candidate should have excellent communication
- Candidates should be passionate towards teaching and guiding students
- The candidate should have good research record
Job Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh
Consolidated Emoluments: INR 31,000 + HRA for two years and 35,000 + HRA for third year
Duration of the project: Initially the position is for one year likely to extended for three years on the basis of evaluation or co-terminus with project
