Essential Qualifications:

  • Librarian – Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks, along with a minimum of ten years’ experience at the level of Assistant Librarian, Deputy Librarian or Additional Librarian, of which at least three years should be at the level of Deputy Librarian or Additional Librarian, and a Ph.D. in Library Science, Documentation or Archives and Manuscript Keeping
  • Deputy Librarian – Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks, eight years’ experience as an Assistant University Librarian or College Librarian, and a Ph.D. in Library Science, Information Science, Documentation Science, Archives and Manuscript Keeping or Computerization of Library
  • Assistant Registrar – Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks and a good academic record, along with a minimum of five years’ professional experience in a university, educational or research institution, or equivalent administrative experience in areas such as administration, admission, examination, establishment or procurement
  • Assistant Engineer, Electrical – Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution, with at least two years’ post qualification experience as a Junior Engineer or in a similar capacity
  • Senior Assistant – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution, with at least five years’ experience in Administration, Establishment, Academic, Finance and Accounts or General Supervision and Management
  • Library Assistant – Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science with two years’ relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Library or Library and Information Science with three years’ relevant experience, along with knowledge of Computer Applications
  • Assistant – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution, with at least three years’ experience in Administration, Establishment, Academic, Finance and Accounts or General Supervision and Management

Desirable:

  • Assistant Registrar – Additional qualification in Management or Law, experience of independently handling General Financial Rules, and knowledge of basic computers
  • Assistant Engineer, Electrical – Experience of handling electric installations, meters, pumps, lights, air conditioners and geysers, along with familiarity with Contract Law and CPWD or PWD accounting procedures

Experience: As specified against each post above, ranging from two years for Assistant Engineer, Electrical, up to ten years for Librarian

Salary Details:

  • Librarian – USD 30,000-45,000 per annum plus admissible allowances
  • Deputy Librarian – USD 18,000-30,000 per annum plus admissible allowances
  • Assistant Registrar – USD 14,000-23,000 per annum plus admissible allowances
  • Assistant Engineer, Electrical – USD 14,000-23,000 per annum plus admissible allowances
  • Senior Assistant – USD 8,000-14,000 per annum plus admissible allowances
  • Library Assistant – USD 6,000-11,000 per annum plus admissible allowances
  • Assistant – USD 6,000-11,000 per annum plus admissible allowances
