Eligibility Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Mathematics with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized university
- Ph.D. in Mathematics or a relevant discipline, or NET/SLET/SET, as applicable under prevailing UGC regulations
- Candidates holding a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and fulfilling applicable UGC conditions may be considered for exemption from NET/SLET/SET
- Candidates should possess a strong academic background along with good communication and teaching skills
Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Mathematics
- Previous teaching experience in Engineering Mathematics or Mathematics for B.Tech programmes
- Research publications in reputed journals or conferences
- Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, Mathematica, or other mathematical computing tools
- Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching-learning methods into Mathematics education
- Experience in curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic activities will be an added advantage
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Candidates with Ph.D. plus NET/SET/SLET, relevant teaching experience, and exposure to Engineering Mathematics will be given preference, subject to applicable regulations and institutional requirements
- Ability to handle Mathematics courses for B.Tech students, with strong subject knowledge, effective classroom communication, and student-centred teaching ability
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver Mathematics and Engineering Mathematics courses to B.Tech students
- Contribute to teaching, research, and overall student development within the department
- Support curriculum development and integration of technology-based teaching methods
- Mentor students and participate in academic and departmental activities
- Undertake research work and contribute to publications in reputed journals or conferences
