College Profile: The M.I.E.T. Polytechnic College was established by the Mohamed Institute of Education and Technology Society, Tiruchirappalli in the year 1984, a Society registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, at the initiative of Alhaj. A. Mohamed Yunus, an industrialist-cum-educationist as Founder Secretary and Alhaj.S.M.Hassan Mohamed, a Philanthropist as Founder President, with an objective to promote the cause of higher education. Permission to start the College was accorded by the Government of Tamil Nadu. All the Courses run by the College are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, (AICTE), New Delhi / Directorate of Technical Education, (DTE), Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. It is recognized as a Muslim Minority Institution under the constitution of India.
