If you have a passion for Science and a gift for inspiring young minds, we are looking for you. The Lifehub team needs a new science teacher for the academic year 2022_2023. You are required to have a good understanding of the CBSE or NIOS curriculum. You must be
experienced with identifying learning gaps and developing engaging and innovative lessons that allow our students to grow academically, socially and emotionally.
We are on the lookout for a passionate and child-focussed teacher to join our
Elementary Program (age 6-9) as a lead guide @ Life Hub (a home-schooling
cooperative), Ponmar, Chennai.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Physics/Chemistry or BE.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in English.
Minimum 2 years of experience with teaching 8th to 12th grade students (Syllabus followed
CBSE / NIOS)
Able to adopt and incorporate hands-on, experiment based teaching methodology.
Deeply values building connections and rapport with students.
Teacher Requirements:
● Montessori Elementary Certification, Bachelor’s degree in teaching, education,
or a related discipline is recommended but not a requisite.
● Effective communication skills to interact with children.
● Passionate about alternative education.
● An ability to teach groups of children of ages 6-9 years in a way that enables
independence and encourages intrinsic motivation.
● Good interpersonal skills, abundance of patience along with observational and
diagnostic skills
● Create lesson plans, give appropriate presentations and establish a record
keeping system to track children’s progress.
● Develops and makes materials when needed
● The ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and
respect.
● Excellent planning and organizational skills.
● A lifelong learner who can be a good role model for children.
