College Profile: KIT- Kalaignarkarunanidhi Institute of Technology is an Autonomous Institution located in Coimbatore and established by Vijayalakshmi Palanisamy Charitable Trust in the year of 2008. The college offers 13 undergraduate, 7 postgraduate programmes and 7 Ph.D. programmes. The college has been approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC and 6 programmes are accredited by NBA. Our institution has been placed in the 201-300 rank band in NIRF, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Recruiting Research Faculty
Role and Key Responsibilities:
1. Candidate must hold Ph.D. in relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
2. Should have strong research credentials through publications in reputed journals (SCI, WoS and Scopus indexed).
3. Preference will be given to those with research projects/patents.
4. Expected to establish and lead independent research groups aligned with institutional thrust areas.
5. Should actively contribute to the research ecosystem of the institution, including mentoring, collaborations, and knowledge transfer.
6. Must fulfill the ethical standards of research and comply with institutional, national, and international research policies.
7. Should serve as a research leader and mentor, driving innovative research and contributing to the institution’s academic and scientific standing.
8. Should promote interdisciplinary and applied research with industry and academic collaboration.
9. Undertake cutting-edge research in the specialized domain.
10. Publish regularly in peer-reviewed high-impact journals.
11. Present research findings at national and international conferences.
12. Secure extramural funding from government, industry, and international bodies.
13. Guide Ph.D., M. Tech/M.E., and undergraduate students in research.
14. Translate research into patents, prototypes and products.
Qualification: Ph.D. /Masters Degree in Relevant Area
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Teaching and Research
