Organization Profile: It was a memorable day on May 01, 2016, at Jammu, when a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir and Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Government of India, was signed, setting the ball rolling to set up an IIT campus at village Jagti, Tehsil Nagrota at Jammu. The site is located on the National Highway and is about 15 Km from the Airport. 

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

Project Title: Low-cost Prosthetics Design and Fabrication using Advanced Textile and Composites Technology

Department: Department of Mechanical Engineering

Duration: Initially for one year. May be extended depending on the performance.
or ending of the project whichever is earlier

Qualification:

  1. M.Tech. / M.E. in Mechanical Engineering/ Materials Engineering/ Applied Mechanics/ Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Machine design, Polymer Science, Composites, Engineering Design and related streams and B.Tech/ B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering or Polymer Science and Engineering with minimum 60% marks (or 6.5/ 10.0 CGPA). Valid GATE score is preferable.
    OR
    2. B.Tech. /B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Materials Engineering/ Applied Mechanics/ Aerospace Engineering and related streams with a minimum 60% mark (or 6.5/ 10.0 CGPA) throughout starting from Class XII, valid GATE score is preferable /Post Graduation degree in basic science.

Job Location: Jammu

Pay Scale: INR 31,000/- plus HRA as applicable
