Organization Profile: National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) is one of the 31 NITs of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Silchar. In 2002, it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007.

Job Title: JRF

Project Title:  Development of Sustainable and Flood Resilient Low-Cost Amphibious Housing System for the Vulnerable Communities in Assam

Department: Civil Engineering

Sponsor: Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India

Duration: 02 years (extension based on performance review every 12 months)

Essential Qualification: M.E./ M. Tech or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering from recognised University. In addition GATE qualification is mandatory.

Desirable Experience: Master Degree in Structural Engineering/ Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering/Water Resource Engineering. (Knowledge in ABAQUS software is preferred.)

  • Candidate should complete their Ph.D. in relevant discipline
  • Commitment towards work

Pay Scale: Rs. 31,000/- per month
