Job Title: Junior Research Fellow(JRF)
Project Title: Innovative Low-Cost Aluminum Buckling Restrained Braces (BRBs) for the Frame Structures as Sustainable Infrastructure Solution
Area of Specialization /Research: Structural Engineering/Earthquake Engineering/ Steel Structures
Duration: Initially for 6 months, extendable based on performance and project needs. The
position is coterminous with the project.
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.Tech./M.E. in Structural Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA from a recognized institute.
OR - B.Tech./B.E. in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA from a recognized institute.
Note: For candidates applying with a B.E. / B.Tech.,
CFTI applicants: A valid GATE (or equivalent) score is not required; however, a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is mandatory.
Non-CFTI applicants: A valid qualification in a recognized national-level examination is required, such as GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, ICAR, ICMR, or examinations conducted by IITs, IISc, IISERs (or equivalent institutions).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience in using structural analysis and design software such as OpenSees, ETABS, SAP2000, or Abaqus.
- Knowledge of experimental testing methods in structural engineering and finite element
analysis.

Consolidated Salary per Month : ₹37,000/- + HRA as applicable
