Applications are invited for One post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at a fixed salary amount of Rs. 37,000/- + 18% HRA (as per the norms) in the research project entitled “Development of Algorithms for water quality monitoring using ground instrumentation and optical sensors onboard Unmanned Airborne Vehicle and Satellite Data” undertaken by Department of Civil Engineering, IIT (BHU) Varanasi. The post of SRF can be given if candidate has experience of two years as JRF. The post is purely temporary and co-terminous with the project, having a duration of 10 months or until the project ends, whichever is earlier.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Candidates should possess first-class M.sc/M.E./M.Tech. degree in Geo informatics Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Geography or equivalent.
  AND
• In addition, the candidate should qualify GATE/NET or any equivalent national level examinations conducted by the central government departments/agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, IITs etc.
• Desirable qualification:
  Good knowledge of any one programming language, digital image processing, and testing of water quality parameters.
