Job Title:
- Junior Research Fellow
Project Title: “Understanding and modelling the interactions between Debris and glacier Ice in a changing ClimatE (D-ICE)”
Minimum Educational Qualification: Master’s degree / B. Tech in Earth Science, Physics or equivalent qualification with relevant specialization with valid CSIR-NET / GATE / DBT – JRF / any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.
Preference: Candidates with good background in Physics and strong computer programming skills and Knowldge of basic GIS tools, prior experience in numerical simulaton and
glaciological research will be preferred.
Job Description: The selected candidate will develop codes for modelling surface features on debris-covered glaciers, and do data analysis.
Funding Agency: Ministry of Earth Sciences
Job Requirements: The successful candidate will have to conduct the HPLC, LC-MS, and GC-MS based analyses.
Tenure of the Appointment: Initially for a period of six months extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated Emoluments:
- Rs. 37,000/- + 24% HRA per month
Age: Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and/ or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualifications and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
