Organization Profile: Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIITG) is an institution of National Importance under an Act of Parliament (THE INDIAN INSTITUTES OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP) ACT, 2017). It offers B.Tech. courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science Engineering (CSE), M.Tech. courses in CSE and ECE and runs PhD programmes in ECE, CSE, Mathematics, and Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). IIITG started operations in August 2013 with B.Tech programmes in CSE and ECE. The first batch of B.Tech. students completed their programme in May 2017. The first convocation of the Institute was held on May 15 2018. The institute has further received funding for infrastructural development and academic improvement under TEQIP III.

Project Titled “Design of Automated, Self-Sustaining Collision Avoidance System for Remote Railway Elephant Corridors”
Job Type: Full Time and Offline (on campus at IIIT Guwahati).

Essential Qualifications: B. Tech/B.E. in the streams of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering from reputed institutions. Pursuing 3rd or 4th Year B. Tech/B.E. students in the streams of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering from reputed institutions are also eligible to apply (subject to no objection by the parent institution of the candidate).
Pay: Rs. 12,000/- per month consolidated.
Duration: 6 months with a provision of extension upto 11 months or till the end of tenure of the project, whichever comes earlier, subject to satisfactory performance. The post is purely temporary.
