In a very short time, just about a year, IIT Hyderabad has made significant strides. IIT Hyderabad admitted the first batch of 111 B.Tech. students, and started functioning on August 20, 2008. Three departments, CSE, EE & ME were initiated. The first year had its highs and lows but was an exciting period that will be etched in the minds of the pioneer batch. In January 2009, IIT Hyderabad admitted 11 PhD students.

Job Title Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited from candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Flexible Electronics and Nano Devices lab (https://www.iith.ac.in/~sbadh/) at IIT Hyderabad.

Employment Type: Temporary

Essential qualifications: 

  • B.Tech in Nanotechnology with a minimum CGPA of 8 and GATE qualified (in EC, EE, IN,
    PH, MT or XE);
    OR
    M.Tech in Nanotechnology/Nanoelectronics specialization with min. CGPA of 8;
    OR
    M.Sc in Nanotechnology/Nanoelectronics specialization with min. CGPA of 8 and GATE qualified (in EC, EE, IN, PH, MT or XE).
  • The candidate should have prior experience in nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, along with a good understanding of semiconductor fundamentals.
  • Expertise in device fabrication (such as physical/electrochemical/bio sensors and photodetectors etc.) or 3D printing should be highlighted, if available.

Job Location: Hyderabad, Telangana

Duration of appointment: One year (subsequent extension based on performance)
