Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) offers design centric programmes such as B.Tech (CSE), M.Tech (CSE) with specialization Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Ph.D. in various research areas. IIITDM Kancheepuram’s Computer Science and Engineering curriculum is modelled on the ACM recommendations and is the first of its kind engineering program offered in India. The Department consists of a vibrant team of faculty members working in diverse areas including Image Processing, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Biometrics, Graph Theory, Combinatorial Optimization, Reconfigurable Computing, Wireless Sensor Networks, IoT, Blockchain and Cyber Security. The faculty members are involved in sponsored and consultancy research projects from reputed industries and government organizations.
Research Position: Project Associate – I (One Position)
Title of the project: Development of Energy Efficient Wireless Sensor Network and Communication Platform for Precision Agriculture
Sponsoring/Funding Agency: TIH Foundation for IoT and IoE (TIH-IoT) at IIT Bombay
Stipend/Qualification:
- Rs. 31,000 per month
B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science/ Engineering (or related areas, such as IT, Networking, IoT, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security/Information Security etc.)

B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering (or related areas, such as IT, Networking, IoT, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security/Information Security etc.) and valid GATE Score
2. Rs. 25,000 per month
B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering (or related areas, such as IT, Networking, IoT, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security/Information Security etc.)
Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of basics algorithms and network protocol design
- Basic knowledge of wireless communications, IoT, Cloud Computing
- Work/Project development experience using Micro controllers (e.g. Arduino or Raspberry-pi) and software such as NS-3, Python etc.
- Basic knowledge of Mobile and Web application development
- Good English and Report Writing Skills.
Project Duration: 24 Months
Age: Preferably below 32 Years
