Essential Qualifications:

• Candidates need a Ph.D. degree in the relevant branch along with first class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level, for Professor and Associate Professor posts.
• For Assistant Professor, a B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch with first class or equivalent is required.
• Department-specific qualifications, such as NET/SLET qualification for Chemistry and CoA registration for Architecture posts, also apply.
• Full department-wise qualification details are given in Annexure-I of the official notification.

Desirable: For Assistant Professor posts, a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and/or published research papers, along with teaching experience at a degree-level institution, is preferred.

Experience:

• Professor posts require a minimum of 10 years of teaching, research or industry experience, with at least 3 years at a post equivalent to Associate Professor.
• Associate Professor posts require a minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 2 years of post-Ph.D. experience. Experience requirements for Architecture and Planning departments differ slightly and are detailed in the notification.

Age Limit: 55 years for Professor, 50 years for Associate Professor, and 35 years for Assistant Professor . Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/PwBD candidates up to 5 years and for OBC candidates up to 3 years, as per government norms.

Salary Details:

• Professor – Level-14, Rs.1,44,200 to Rs.2,18,200.
• Associate Professor – Level-13(A1), Rs.1,31,400 to Rs.2,17,100.
• Assistant Professor – Level-10, Rs.57,700 to Rs.1,82,400, all as per 7th CPC/UGC/AICTE/COA norms.
