  • Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC such as SLET/SET, OR must have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with University Grants Commission norms.
  • Candidates registered for the Ph.D. program prior to 11th July 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET, provided they fulfill all of the following conditions: (a) Ph.D. degree awarded in regular mode only; (b) Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners; (c) Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted; (d) At least two research papers published from Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal; (e) At least two presentations made in conferences or seminars based on Ph.D. work. Conditions (a) to (e) must be certified by the Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs) of the concerned university.

Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. in Biochemistry or allied fields.

Salary Details: The assignment will be on a lecture basis with a token honorarium of Rs. 1500/- per lecture, subject to an upper ceiling of Rs. 50,000/- per month. Candidates must give an undertaking that they will not draw any fellowship, stipend, or financial assistance from any agency during their tenure as Guest Faculty. Candidates already availing JRF scholarships within the university are not entitled to the honorarium but will be issued an experience certificate.
