Required Educational Qualifications for Dean (College of Horticulture & Research Station): Candidates should have

• A Doctoral degree in any branch of Horticulture
• Twenty years of total experience, out of which five years as a Professor/equivalent position
  (Desirable: Evidence of contribution to research/teaching/extension education as supported by published work/innovations; Administrative experience in the rank of Professor/equivalent post/higher cadre.)

Required Educational Qualifications for Assistant Professor (all disciplines): Candidates should have

• A Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline (as specified for each subject — e.g., Vegetable Science/Horticulture, Fruit Science/Horticulture, Floriculture & Landscaping, Agronomy, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Plant Physiology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Agricultural Statistics, or Agricultural Economics) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade 6.50 in a 10.00 scale) and a good academic record
• NET examination cleared from ICAR/UGC/CSIR in the concerned discipline, or a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC Regulations (2009 or subsequent amendments), which exempts the NET requirement subject to specified conditions

Required Educational Qualifications for Assistant Librarian: Candidates should have

• A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks and a consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of library
• NET examination cleared by UGC/CSIR or a similar UGC-accredited test like SLET/SET in the concerned discipline, or a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC Regulations, which exempts the requirement subject to specified conditions
  (Desirable: Experience in library/documentation work; evidence of contribution to library/documentation work as supported by published work/innovations.)

Age Limit:

Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided for ST, SC, OBC, women, and Divyang (Differently Abled) candidates who are bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh, as per C.G. Government Rules. Permanent/temporary/contractual employees of the Government of Chhattisgarh are also entitled to age relaxation as per applicable rules.

Duration (for Dean): The appointment shall be on a tenure basis for a period up to 5 years or till attaining the age of superannuation (62 years), whichever is earlier. Candidates belonging to other universities will not be absorbed into the University in any case.

Duration (for Assistant Professor/Assistant Librarian): The appointment shall be temporary, with selected candidates kept on probation for three years. Service may be terminated if the probation period is not completed successfully.
