Organization Profile: Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda has been established as a full-fledged State University, having the unique honor of being the “First Agricultural University of Bundelkhand Region”. The University was notified vide Government Order No. 301/79-V-1-10-1 (Ka) 27-2009 Lucknow and established on 2 March 2010 under Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (Sanshodhan) 1958 Gazette-Adhiniyam 2010. Initially, it was named as “Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda”, which was changed to “Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda” vide Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2014, No. 1528(2)/LXXIX-V-1-14-1(Ka)-13-2014 dated 4 December 2014.

Qualifications:

Professor

• A recognized veterinary qualification specified in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
• The Adjunct Professor or equivalent should possess a doctoral degree in the concerned/relevant/allied discipline.
• A minimum of ten years of experience in teaching, research, or extension in an educational or research institution in a position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in a University. However, adjunct Professors may be retired faculty members of eminence with a high reputation in teaching, research, and publications.

Associate Professor

• A recognized veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
• The Adjunct Associate Professor or equivalent should possess a doctoral degree in the concerned/relevant/allied discipline.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in teaching, research, or extension in an educational or research institution in a position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University.

Tenure of Appointment: The appointment shall be purely on an adjunct basis initially for one academic year and may be extended as per requirement and Terms & Conditions of the University.

Job Location: Banda, Uttar Pradesh

Remuneration & Other Facilities:

• The Adjunct Professor shall be provided a fixed honorarium Rs. 2000.00 (Rupees two thousand only) per lecture to a maximum of Rs. 4000.00 (Rupees four thousand only) per day subject to a maximum of Rs. 80,000. 00 (Rupees eighty thousand only) per month.
• The Adjunct Associate professor shall be provided a fixed honorarium Rs.1500.00 (Rupees fifteen hundred only) per lecture to a maximum of Rs.3000.00 (Rupees three thousand only) per day subject to a maximum of Rs.60,000.00 (Rupees sixty thousand only) per month.
• Adjunct/Guest Faculty shall be provided travel allowances from their residential hometown to BUAT, as per the entitlements, rules, and regulations of BUAT, for a maximum of six times per academic year. No reimbursement for hired accommodation shall be permissible; however, he/she shall be provided accommodation on the University campus, subject to availability.
