Qualification: BE / B Tech in first division and a valid GATE score Or ME / M Tech in first division both at Graduate and Post graduate level
Tenure: Initially the offer shall be for a period of two years which may be extended for further two years period (one year at a time) subject to satisfactory performance to be assessed by Review Committee.
Upper Age Limit : 28 years as on as date of interview, relaxation by Five years for SC/ST and Three years for OBC (Non- creamy layer ) candidates. Caste certificate copy to be enclosed with application, if applicable.

Eligible candidates who are willing to attend the walk-in-interview are advised to send their willingness by email at [email protected] latest by 27 Sep 2026. The subject field of the email must contain “Application for the post of Junior Research Fellowship”.
Application procedure & Interview Guidelines:
1. Application form can be downloaded from website www.drdo.gov.in .
2. Desirous candidates appearing for written test & interview are required to report at VRDE, Vahannagar PO, Ahilyanagar — 414 006 (Maharashtra) at 09:00hrs on the dates specified for respective disciplines
i) Applications will be accepted starting from 09:30 am to 11:00 am on 06 Oct 2026. Candidates arriving late will not be allowed to participate in walk-in-interview process. Document verification of candidates will be done between 09:30 am to 11:30 am on 06 Oct 2026.
ii) Written test will be conducted after scrutiny of documents on 06 Oct 2026. Interview will be conducted on 06 Oct 2026 and in case of large number of candidates, Interview will also be conducted from 08:30 am onward on 07 Oct 2026.Therefore, candidates are requested to prepare/make arrangement accordingly.
3. Candidates are required to produce the duly filled application form, as per the format provided, along with attested copies of certificate/testimonials w.r.t qualification, experience and caste at the time of walk-in-interview. It is also required to affix recent passport size photograph on the right top corner of. the first page of the application. (If any
