Qualification and Experience:
A. Essential:
1. A master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever grading system is followed.
2. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration.
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education.
OR
15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
B. Desirable: Ph.D. in any discipline.
Age: Between 40 and 52 years as on 01.01.2024 (Age relaxation as per Kerala Government Rule is applicable to eligible candidates. Age limit is not applicable in the case of employees in the regular service of Cochin University of Science and
Technology.)
Term of Appointment: The Registrar shall be appointed for a period of four years from the date on which he/ she enters upon the office or till he/ she completes the age of fifty-six years, whichever is earlier, and shall be eligible for re-appointment for one more term, subject to the above condition. The service conditions prescribed by the Government from time to time shall be applicable to the post.
Mode of Recruitment: By direct recruitment as provided in the Cochin University of Science and Technology Act, 1986, amended from time to time by the Government of Kerala.
Candidate Profile:
- The candidate should be completed a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with good academic records.
- The candidate should have excellent communication
- Candidates should be passionate towards teaching and guiding students
- The candidate should have good research record
Period of appointment: Initially for a period of one year, with break during May – June vacation months, and further period of extensions will be decided by the University from time to time.
