Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Essential Qualification: 

Lecturer (Plastics/Polymers, Mechanical, Electricals & Electronics)

• Engineering/Technology
  Full time Bachelor’s degree with First Class or equivalent in Engineering / Technology in the relevant discipline. If the candidate has a full time Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology, First Class or equivalent is required at full time Bachelors or Masters level.
• Experience:
  At least 1 year teaching experience in Polytechnic / Engg. College. Preference shall be given to M.E / M. Tech. holder with First Class
  OR
  Full time Bachelor’s degree with First Class or equivalent in Engineering /Technology in the relevant discipline. If the candidate has a full time Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology, First Class or equivalent is required at full time Bachelors or Masters level;
  and
  Ph.D in the relevant discipline

Lecturer (English)

• Minimum Qualification:
  Full time First Class Masters degree in relevant Discipline with First Class or equivalent at fulltime Bachelor’s or Master’s level
• Experience:
  At least 1 year teaching experience in polytechnic/ Engg. College

Remuneration range : 

• Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- pm
