Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Essential Qualification:
Lecturer
- Full time first class Master’s degree in relevant discipline with first class or equivalent at full time Bachelor’s or Master’s level
Asst. Placement Consultant
- Full time graduate in any discipline with 2 year experience in relevant are.
OR
M.B.A. (HRM/PM) with one year experience in the relevant area
Instructor (Skill Development)
- Full time First Class B.E./B.Tech, in appropriate/ relevant discipline with minimum 1 year experience.
OR
First-Class Full-Time Diploma in appropriate branch /DPT/DPMT/ PGD-PPT, with minimum 3 year experience.
Remuneration range :
- Lecturer: Rs.30,000 /- to Rs.35,000 /- pm
- Asst. Placement Consultant: Rs 35,000/- p.m.
- Instructor Skill Development: Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 30,000/- p.m.
