Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Essential Qualification: 

Associate Professor(Petrochemical Engineering)

• Minimum Qualifications:
  Full-time First-class BE.B. Tech, ME/M.Tech and PhD in relevant discipline from a recognized University.
  Post PhD Publications and guiding PhD students is highly desirable.
• Experience:
  Minimum 5-year experience in teaching and /or research and /or industry of which at least 2 years of post-PhD experience in desirables

Assistant Professor (Mathematics)

• Minimum Qualifications:
  (i)Full-time first-class Master’s degree in relevant discipline with first class or an equivalent CGPA in the relevant discipline from Indian Universities.
  (ii) Besides fulfilling the qualification candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC.
  (iii) Candidates who have been awarded a PhD degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET for the recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/University
• Experience:
  At least 2 year post qualification experience in the relevant discipline.

Assistant Placement Consultant

• Minimum Qualifications:
  Full Time graduate in any discipline with two years experience in the relevant area.
  OR
  M.B.A. (HRM/PM) with one year experience in the relevant area

Remuneration range : 

• Associate Professor: Rs.46,400 /- pm (AICTE basic pay Rs.37,400/- + AGP Rs.9000/-)
• Assistant Professor: Rs.35,000 /- to Rs.40,000 /- pm
• Assistant Placement Consultant: Rs.35,000 /- pm (Consolidated Pay)
