Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Essential Qualification:
- Associate Professor
- Full time First Class BE/B Tech and ME/M Tech in relevant discipline from a recognized University. Ph.D in the relevant discipline. and Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D student is highly desirable.
- Assistant Professor
Full time Master’s Degree with good academic record with First Class or an equivalent CGPA in the relevant discipline from Indian Universities.
Remuneration range :
- Associate Professor: Rs.46,400 /- pm
- Assistant Professor: Rs.35,000 /- to Rs.40,000 /- pm
