Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Employment Type: Temporary
Duration of Project: The position is purely temporary and initially only for a period of 01 (one) year or till the completion of the deliverables whichever is earlier.
Essential Qualification:
- Research Associate – II: Ph.D in Polymer Science & Technology/ Plastics Engg./ Materials Science & Engg. from a recognized University with relevant research experience for 02 years in the areas of Additive Manufacturing with Computer Aided Design, Sensors, Polymer Blends & Alloys, Composites with 05 Nos. of research publication in SCI journals.
- Project Associate-II: P.G Degree in Professional Courses: M.E/M.Tech., (Polymer Nanotechnology/Plastic Engineering/ Material Science & Engineering, or M.Sc., (Polymer Science & Tech./ Materials Science & Engg.) or equivalent qualification with first class in PG degree and 02 years of relevant research experience.
NET/GATE qualified candidates shall be preferred.
Remuneration range :
- Research Associate – II: 49,000/- plus HRA (As per the old DST Norms)
- Project Associate-II: 28,000/- plus HRA (As per the old DST Norms)
