Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Essential Qualification:
Assistant Professor (Polymer):
- Full Time First Class BE / BTech and ME / MTech in (Polymer/Plastics)from recognized University
- Experience :
At least 2 years post qualification experience in the relevant discipline

Full Time First Class BE/BTech and ME/MTech in (Polymer/Plastics)from recognized University, and; Ph.D in the relevant Discipline
Lecturer(Mathematics):
- Full time First Class Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with First class or equivalent at full time Bachelors or Master level.
- Experience : At least 1 year teaching experience in Poly Technic /Engg. College.
Lecturer (Computer Science):
- Full Time Bachelor’s degree with First Class or equivalent in Engineering /Technology(Computer Science) If the candidate has a full time Maters degree in Engineering /Technology First Class or equivalent is required at full time
Bachelors or Masters level. - Experience : At least 1 year teaching experience in Poly Technic /Engg. College Preference shall be given to M.E/M Tech holder with First Class
