Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Qualification:
Lecturer(Plastics Engineering & Technology): Full time Bachelor’s degree with First Class or equivalent in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline. If the candidate has a full time Master’s degree in Engineering Technology, First Class or equivalent is required at full time Bachelors or Masters level; and Ph.D. in the relevant Discipline
Lecturer (Mathematics/Physics/English/Chemistry): Full time first Class Master’s degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent with First Class or equivalent at full time Bachelor’s or Master’s level
Lecturer (Computer Science ): Full time Bachelor’s degree with First Class or equivalent in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline. If the candidate has a full time Master’s degree in Engineering Technology, First Class or equivalent is required at full time Bachelors or Masters level; and Ph.D. in the relevant Discipline
Placement Consultant: Full time graduate in any discipline with four years’ experience in the relevant areas. or M.B.A.(HRM/PM) with two years’ experience in the relevant area.
Remuneration range :
- Lecturer: Rs.30,000/- to 35,000/- per month
- Placement Consultant: Rs.40,000/-PM (Consolidated Pay)
